Additions to Dataviews§

We launched the first version of Dataviews in June. We are now applying some additions and improvements:

  • You can now filter for specific contact information (email, phone number etc.).

  • You also have access to filters for exact locations, labels and contacts based on a drop-down menu.

  • When filtering by a date and time input field, you’re no longer required to enter an hour: a date is enough.

  • The price fields for events show the actual price, if it exists. If not, the planned price appears.

  • The name and contents of price fields for events have changed because of this:

    • The new fields, which show either the actual or the planned price, were given the old names (“Cost”, “Net Total”, “VAT Total” etc.).
    • The names of the existing fields have changed from “Cost”, “Net Total”, “VAT Total” etc. to respectively “Planned Cost”, “Planned Net Total”, “Planned VAT Total” etc.
    • The contents of existing dataviews that contain these fields will remain unchanged.
  • Default price definition fields are available for resources.

  • Exports to Excel use the data type for dates and numbers where necessary.

  • Performance improvements and numerous bug fixes.

Custom Price Rates§

Until now Yesplan took every started unit into account when calculating the price. For example:

  • A resource is booked from 10:00 to 12:15 and the unit is “Per Hour”.
  • Yesplan will automatically take three hours into account and not 2.25.

From now on, it’s possible to set the accuracy with which Yesplan must calculate the result. For a price unit “Per Hour”, the price can be calculated based on every started quarter of an hour. You can also set what must be taken into account minimally (e.g. at least 30 minutes). For example:

  • A resource is booked from 10:00 to 12:15 and the unit is “Per Hour”.
  • You set that the price must be calculated based on every started quarter of an hour.
  • Yesplan will only take 2.25 hours into account instead of 3 hours.

You can read all about custom price rates in the manual.

Adjust Prices of Bookings in Bulk§

You can currently adjust the prices and rates of resources in bulk. In this case, you only adjust the prices of the resources themselves and not the prices of resources booked for an event.

With this release we added the possibility of adjusting resource prices that are already booked on an event on or after a desired date in the future. You can read all about adjusting prices in bulk in the manual.

Wipe Contacts Permanently§

You can also wipe a contact permanently from now on. As a result, all the contact’s personal details and all their bookings are discarded permanently.

If a customer requests that you permanently delete their details from your Yesplan database, you’re able to do this.

You can read all about wiping contacts permanently in the manual.

Import Events§

From now on a Yesplan administrator can import events on their own via the system settings, based on the existing import format.

Diverse Improvements§

Default Unit for New Price Definitions§

From now on, it’s possible to set which unit is selected by default when creating a new price definition: “Fixed”, “Per Hour”, “Per Day”, “Per Week” or “Per Month”. In the past Yesplan always chose the “Per Day” unit.

This unit for selling price and cost will be selected by default for every new price definition that you create and when booking an ad hoc resource.

Calendar Filter – Hide or Show Unavailabilities§

In the previous Yesplan update, unavailabilities were also shown in the calendar if you use a filter. This wasn’t really adjustable, and some customers indicated that they did not want to see them sometimes. We have extended the filter so that you can now choose whether you want to see the unavailabilities when using the filter.

VIP Code Field for Contacts Erased Permanently§

As announced in November 2016, we no longer support the VIP code field. With this update, the field was deleted permanently for everyone. Amen!
